Fauvel collection

John Fauvel (1947-2001) was a lecturer and senior lecturer at the Open University for 25 years and President for the British Society for the History of Mathematics from 1991-94. This collection of around 2,500 books, including rare 17th, 18th and 19th century texts, was collected by John Fauvel and given to the British Society for the History of Mathematics. The collection is held in the Open University Archive for the Society.

Access

The Fauvel collection is located at the Open University Archive, based in the University Library in Milton Keynes. To access the Collection contact the University Archivist to arrange an appointment. Around half the items in the collection (the modern publications) are available for loan.
